The Obesity Learning Centre (OLC) is the nationwide centre for quality assured information for everyone working in obesity. The OLC sets out to strengthen and support local capacity and capabilities to treat overweight in children and adults.
The OLC was launched in 2009 with grant funding by the Department of Health (England) and Public Health England. It is maintained by the Research Information Services team at the UK Health Forum.
NCMP Network
The NCMP was established in 2005 and involves measuring the height and weight of Reception and Year 6 children at state-maintained schools, including academies, in England. Every year, more than one million children are measured and over 99 % of eligible schools take part on a voluntary basis.
The NCMP Network assists with disseminating the latest NCMP documents and providing a discussion forum for approved registered users to share and provide information for others on this network.
To gain access to the NCMP network, please complete the registration form. All completed registration forms requesting access to the NCMP network, will be forwarded to Public Health England (PHE) for approval. Once approval has been confirmed, an email will be sent to the email address on the registration form.
